About

Starting Out

In 2022, I began my enrollment at Humber College for their Advertising and Graphic Design program. Within these two years, I learned how to be adaptive, how to talk to clients, and how to work at a professional level. Humber gave me the connections and the knowledge to pursue my career as a freelance graphic designer.

Accomplishments

In 2024, I made significant strides in my field by contributing to high-impact projects that showcased my creative problem-solving and design skills.

One of my key accomplishments was working as a graphic designer for Performing4NoOne, a fashion production team. I was brought in to upgrade their pre-determined designs and align them with their envisioned aesthetic. I designed a range of materials, including promotional printouts, social media posts, tickets, and the main poster. I also played a critical role in directing and guiding the team to find clarity in their vision, ensuring consistency across all promotional and social media content. By proposing alternative design options, I helped them achieve visuals that better represented their goals.

Another highlight of my career was collaborating with Artin Avaznia on his first-ever merchandise drop. Artin, a trailblazing solo dance artist, was preparing to become the first in history to perform at Pride Toronto and to headline his first sold-out show, produced in partnership with Red Bull Canada, HVO Vodka, and Sap Suckers. For this project, I developed over 20 original designs, working closely with Artin to bring his vision to life. He trusted me not only to realize his vision but also to take creative liberty, allowing me to explore imaginative ideas while respecting his intentions. The final design was a tremendous success, selling across Canada and the U.S. Additionally, seeing audiences wearing my work at his performances was a surreal experience.

Next Steps

Since graduating in 2024, my new goal is to bridge the gap between my academic foundation and the practical demands of the creative industry. Now that I’ve started my journey as a freelance graphic designer, I’m ready to take on a variety of new creative jobs with different clients and help build my career as well as my network.
